Rehabilitation Centre, Kassandra, Greece
Continuous combination of RUNDFLEX and TRIO for a 1,500 m long perimeter wall
A new rehabilitation centre was constructed in the North of Greece, 70 km southeast of Thessalonica. A seven metre high, s-shaped designed perimeter wall, was to be constructed that surrounds the whole property over a length of 1.5 km. Previously constructed circular columns divide the individual straight and rounded, 16 m long wall sections.
PERI provided a formwork suggestion combining RUNDFLEX and TRIO, that was just right for the required shapes. The RUNDFLEX units exactly described the 24 m radius and the necessary concreting height could quickly be achieved by extending 3.60 m high units. The adjustment to the different wall lengths could be made because of the possibility of continuously coupling TRIO and RUNDFLEX with BFD alignment couplers. 300 mm and 1.00 m wide TRIO units were used with no problems in the different wall cycles.

With the help of construction drawings and a PERI Supervisor, who accompanied the RUNDFLEX erection, the construction company were able to carry out the erection on their own without difficulty. The work was completely finished after 16 weeks. |
