Øresund Link between Denmark and Sweden - The bridges
PERI Shoring for Production of Bridge Deck Panels
1,092 m long viaduct This cable stayed structure spans the Flintrinne Fairway. Eight steel sections, 120 to 140 m long, had been built for the structure in the Karlskrona Shipyard on the South Coast of Sweden.
After completion, they had been transported on a barge to Malmö, to enable construction of the deck. Two production lines with tableforms consisted of MULTIPROP towers and GT 24 formwork girders, and ranged up to 16.85 m in height, had been erected in the northern section of the Port of Malmö. After striking, the tables were lifted over the other production line with the crane.
PERI formwork, scaffolding and tie systems had been used in the production of the bridge deck panels and the tunnel segments.
Approach bridges: The 6,753 m long structures of the Eastern and Western Approach Bridges had been fabricated in the facilities of the spanish company Dragados Offshore in Cadiz. The individual steel sections were provided with concrete decks before being transported to Malmö by sea with special tugs.
