RUNDFLEX on climbing brackets for horseshoe-shaped inclined wall with changing radii
Numerous intellectuals discovered a place of activity in Erfurt and added to its cultural prosperity. The capital city of the Land is continuing the tradition with this new building.
The especially fastidious, 79.90 m long perimeter wall of the auditorium has a horseshoe-shaped plan as well as a changing radius and inclination. A segmental-shaped recess halfway along the wall made the work more difficult.
Not an every-day task, which the site solved masterfully with PERI systems: Spaces between the RUNDFLEX panels due to the inclination were effectively closed with wedge-shaped filling timbers. BFD alignment couplings tied the filling timbers safely between the panels.
Formwork and concrete loads could be safely transferred to the previous cycle, on the outside through SKS and inside through KG 180 climbing brackets. The walls were securely supported immediately after striking by inclined HD 200 heavy-duty props that were impressive through low weight and high loading capacity.
