Time schedule shortened
Breakneck construction speed with PERI ACS
The compact, rhombus-shaped building, with 27 upper floors and two base-ments, will be 97 m high on completion. There were only 27 weeks available for con-structing the building core. Confined spaces prevailed on site and the crane presented a bottleneck.
The ACS self-climbing system provides many variations for constructing high-rise buildings. The PERI engineers worked out the ideal solution for a reasonably cheap sequence for this building, together with the contractor.
The four-day cycle achieved for each floor added up to a gain of four weeks in time over the construction period.
PERI formwork solutions also provided friction-free and fast construction progress for the columns of the façade and the slabs.
1,400 columns for the façade
The sides of the VARIO column formwork were connected by hinges on the steel walings. Because of this they could be folded out or in for the formwork like wings. To save time the formwork was connected in batches of 3, 4 or 5 units and moved from cycle to cycle with CB climbing brackets in one crane lift.
Fast SKYDECK for slabs
The SKYDECK was easily adjusted to the rhombus-shape and work on the remaining filler spaces was kept to a minimum by using triangular frames from the standard program. Despite extra work that had to be carried out on the slabs (concrete cores / electrical installation work) the original time schedule could be well maintained.
