Business Research Centre, Warsaw, Poland
Cores, slabs, columns and breast walls Complete solutions for the fastest construction time
A modern, 104 m high, office and business building, the Business Research Centre, was erected in close proximity to Warsaw Main Railway Station.
The low crane capacity required formwork solutions relieving the cranes. Various PERI systems were employed to meet the construction time schedules and the different concrete qualities specified.
Building cores The cores climb ahead of the floor slabs by four lifts with the PERI ACS – Automatic Climbing System. The systems ACS-P (large platforms), ACS-R (regular brackets used) and ACS-G (formwork on gallows), were all to be flexibly controlled by independent hydraulic drives. By this means it was possible to comfortably work with complicated floor plans and narrow shafts. The VARIO and TRIO systems were used for the wall formwork.
Slabs Two floors of 1,300 m² each were equipped with the UNIPORTAL tableforms (formwork and temporary props). The PERI C-Hook was used for lifting the standard and special tables. This allowed about 500 m² of floor slab area to be formed each day.
Columns and breast walls The SRS circular column and TRIO column formwork produced fair-faced quality concrete. The breast walls were formed with the lighter DOMINO panel formwork, moved by hand.
