Headquarters of Entire Software AG, Ulm, Germany
Shortened Construction Time and Within Budget Using PERI UNIPORTAL Slab Tables
Ecological considerations were very important during the innovative construction of this company''s headquarters in Ulm''s “science park”. Situated in an exposed position, this building, the world''s largest passive house, will function without conventional heating or air conditioning systems. It will be the workplace of over 400 people.
The symmetrical structure, with a threesided, spatially curved facade, resembles that of a piston in a wankel engine. Due to the extremely tight schedule for the structural work, the contractors decided in favour of using UNIPORTAL slab tables for forming the flat slabs. The customised tables were preassembled at the PERI plant in Weissenhorn and delivered according to site requirements. Optimal adjustment to the design of the building meant that infill areas were kept to an absolute minimum. Valuable time was saved by numbering the fillers for re-use on all storeys.
Excellent co-operation between the experienced construction team and PERI engineers resulted in problem-free progress which reduced the planned construction time for the shell.

Helmut Hiller Supervisor “After we had increased the amount of slab table materials due to changing from one to two concreting cycles, we could maintain striking times and accelerate construction progress. The PERI tables were accurately designed and delivered on time enabling work to continue smoothly.”
