ACS for the cores, Tables for the slabs: A complete floor every week
According to American models and designs of the star architect, Helmut Jahn, Chicago, this new building has impressive statistics: 162.50 m total height, five basement levels and 41 upper floors and a plan of two elliptical halves offset to each other. The classically constructed reinforced concrete skeleton is to embody the modern innovative power of the international logistic group “German Post World Net”, when completed.
The task of completing one floor each week was met by the PERI Engineers with a competent solution: The ACS-P System is placed in the constructively stiffening lift shaft cores. The VARIO Girder wall formwork is suspended and moved on the upper working platform. From the 3rd upper floor, the standard floors, the floor slabs and the core walls are all concreted directly after each other. 24 hours later they are struck, the climbing formwork of the core walls is moved hydraulically and the slab tables moved with the crane to the next cycle. The sequence is quickly achieved with such tasks. The site quickly adapted themselves to the self-climbing technique and the slab tables that were required to be moved in the shortest possible time.
