Swietokrzyski Bridge, Warsaw, Poland
Anchors from climbing formwork re-used –working scaffold at bridge pylon
On completion of the concrete works on this prominent new Warsaw feature the finishing trades needed an access scaffold.
PERI UP Rosett provided on the Swietokrzyski bridge a safe working platform for the cable installers. A 1.50 m wide scaffold giving access to the cable ends was erected to the full perimeter of the pylon.
Using the existing cast-in anchors, from the original PERI climbing formwork, to restrain the scaffold meant no further discussion or approval was necessary.
Ledgers were erected every 50 cm to the outside standards for the following reasons:
To give the cable installers complete safety while concentrating on their work in hand.
To give stiffness to the scaffold ensuring that only the existing anchors of the original formwork were needed.
To give a feeling of well being to the cable installers whilst moving material around.
