Florido Tower, Vienna, Austria
Everything from one source Perfect formwork solutions up to the tip of the tower
Designed to the latest technical standards, Vienna''s newest and most modern high-rise project sets yardsticks in every aspect. Upon completion the 115 m high tower, the dominating eye-catching feature of the project, will tower above the Vienna Andromeda Tower (103.45 m), that was also constructed with the proven ACS self-climbing techniques in 1997/1998.
The construction sequence is marked by the usual method of procedure: the stiffening cores of the building for stairs and lift shafts climb in advance of the following slabs. Climbing is made in two core groups without a crane, with which one floor is constructed each week with the ACS systems R, P and G and VARIO girder formwork. The slabs follow at the same time with PERI table formwork.
The slabs were constructed at the same time with UNIPORTAL table formwork. The trapezoidal-shaped UNIPORTAL tables of up to 28.50 m², with double primary beams of strong GT 24 girders, enable large prop spacings. Because of the bending resistant fixing of the MULTIPROP aluminium props in the UNIPORTAL heads, there is no diagonal bracing necessary.
