Circular walls economically climbed
The site was favourably placed for traffic, directly on the Feuchtwangen motorway junction. Two 300 mm thick walls of 4.00 m internal and 13.20 m external radius divide the double-lane entrance and exit ramps of the rotunda.
The wall surfaces were to be constructed in fair-face concrete, joints and ties designed to suit the building.
According to the plans of the Planning Department of the contractor the site climbed the 12.50 m high external shell with RUNDFLEX on FB 180 folding platforms in 3.90 m high lifts. The platforms were suspended on anchors concreted into the previous lift.
Altogether 39 MULTIPROP slab tables made up the slab formwork for the 12% sloping roadways. The erection of the tables on site was made without complications, supported by PERI assembly instructions.
